Lance Corporal Henry James Andrews

Battalion: 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Islington, London. Son of Henry Thomas and Lilly Andrews, of 61, Waterloo Road, Leyton, London. He was a clerk prior to enlisting at London on 29th October 1915 into the Royal Flying Corps. He went to France on 19th March 1916 and transferred to the 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment on 24th September 1917. He was appointed Lance Corporal on 27th November 1917. He was taken prisoner of war on 21st March 1918 and died, 14th October 1918, age 26, of Spanish Flu.

Buried: Schoonselhof Cemetery, Belgium. Plot 2a, Grave 41.
