Son of William and Harriet Andrew of Bleasby, Nottinghamshire. He was a cowman prior to enlisting at Nottingham on 17th November 1915. He went to France on 23rd September 1918 and was killed in action, on 8th October 1918, whilst serving in the line near Bohain, France.

Buried: Brancourt-Le-Grand-Military Cemetery, France. Row A, Grave 16.
