Born at Newark, Nottinghamshire, Son of Albert Edward and Kate Andrew, of Newark. He enlisted at Newark and died of wounds on 24th October 1917, aged 21.

Buried: Godewaersvelde British Cemetery, Belgium. Plot 1, Row K, Grave 28.
