Born at Worthing, Sussex. Son of Charles James and Mary Ann M. Amey, of The Grange, Otley, Yorkshire. Lived at Otley, Yorkshire. He enlisted at Wandsworth, London and was killed in action, 30th June 1917, during a raid on German trenches at Bully Grenay, France.
