Born at Norwood, Essex. Son of Benjamin and Sarah Beatrice Ambridge, of 3, Pond Houses, Park Road, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He enlisted at Chesterfield, Derbyshire and was killed in action, 9th August 1915, during the attack at Ismail Oglu Tepe (Chocolate Hill), Turkey.
