Battalion: 1st Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of Mary Bloor (formerly Alton), of 9, Park Grove, Derby, and the late Harry Alton. He enlisted at Derby and was killed in action, 15th July 1916, whilst the battalion was moving between Poulainville and Longeau, France.
