Son of Edward Allsop, of 8, Frederick Street, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Husband of Mary Annie. Allsop, of 12, Noel Street, Mansfield. He was a plasterer prior to enlisting at Mansfield on 19th November 1914. He went to France on 31st August 1915 and was transferred to the Labour Corps on 8th October 1917. He committed suicide whilst on sentry duty on 6th July 1918.
