He was born in Elton, Derbyshire. Son of Susan Allison, of West End, Elton. He was a farm labourer prior to enlisting at Buxton, Derbyshire on 27th May 1915. He went to France 3rd July 1916 and died, 21st November 1916, of gastroenteritis at Cannock Chase Military Hospital, Staffordshire.

Buried Elton (All Saints) Churchyard, Derbyshire. In North-East part.
