Husband of Kate Allen, of 9, Terrace Street, Radford Road, Hyson Green, Nottingham. He was a brick layer’s Labourer prior to enlistment. Was accidentally killed, 19th February 1916, age 57 whilst on guard at the Sandall Bridge, Doncaster over the Great Central Railway being hit by a passing train.
