Battalion: 2/7th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Southwell, Nottinghamshire. Son of Joseph Davis and Elizabeth Allen, of 86 St. Peter’s Street, Nottingham. He was a lace shredder prior to enlisting at at Nottingham and was killed in action, on 21st March 1918, whilst holding the line near Noreuil, France on the opening day of the German Spring Offensive or (Kaiserschlact).
