He was born at Radcliffe, Lancashire. Son of James Allen; husband of Elizabeth Allen, of 136, Georgiana Street, Bury, Lancashire. Enlisted at Bury and was killed in action on 18th April 1918 by shellfire whilst serving in the trenches at Kemmel. Belgium.
