Born at Worksop, Nottinghamshire. Son of Job and Mary Allen, 60, Newcastle Avenue, Worksop. He was an apprentice painter prior to enlisting at Worksop. He was killed in action, on 21st March 1918, during the German attack at Mory L’Abbaye, France.
