Born at Beeston, Nottinghamshire Son of Andrew and Ellen Allen, of 8, Ethel Grove, Wilford Road, Nottingham. Enlisted at Nottingham and was killed in action, on 12th October 1917, during the attack near Hazebrouck, France.

Commemorated  Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium. Panel 99 to 102 and 162 to 162A
