Born at Stapleford, Nottinghamshire, Son of Edward and Nancy Alldridge; husband of Ada Alldridge, of 136 Nottingham Road, Stapleford, Nottinghamshire. He was an ironworker prior to enlisting at Ilkeston, Derbyshire, on 29th April 1915. He went to France on 9th December 1915 and was killed in action on 12th March 1916 by German shellfire whilst serving in the trenches at St. Jean, near Ypres, Belgium.
