Born in Nottingham. Son of Caleb and Eliza Allcock, of 13, Tealby Terrace, Glebe Street, Nottingham. He was a railway porter for Midland Railway at Edwalton, prior to enlisting at Nottingham on 3rd June 1916. He went to France on 3rd July 1917 and was killed in action, 24th April 1918, whist attacking Villers Bretonneux/Bois L’Abbaye, France.
