Battalion: 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Son of Jesse and Annie Albones, of Budby Corner, Hardwick, Clumber Park, Worksop, Nottinghamshire. He was a groom and dog man on the Clumber estate, Worksop. He enlisted at Worksop on 26th August 1914 and went to France on 18th March 1915. He was killed in action on 16th September 1916 during the attack on the German positions near Guillemont, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
