Born at Hackney, Middlesex. Son of Ernest Henry Hicks Alberry and Kate Alberry; husband of Hannah Alberry, of 15, Beck Road, Stratford, London. Lived at 304 Whick Road, Hackney. He was a furniture upholsterer prior to enlisting at Hackney on 7th October 1916. He went to France on 13th January 1917 and was killed in action on 12th July 1918 during the German shelling of the trenches near Essarts, France.
