Born and lived at Bradway, Yorkshire. Son of Thomas and Annie Elizabeth Adlington, of Ashlea Farm, Bradway. He was working on the family farm prior to enlisting at Holmesfield, Yorkshire. He was killed in action, 17th October 1918, during the attack on Regnicourt, France.
