Battalion: 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born in Herne, Kent and lived in Wingham, Kent. Son of Tom and Harriett Adley, of Ridgeway Fram, Herne. He was working on the family farm prior to enlisting at Herne Bay. He was killed in action, on 11th December 1917, by trench mortar fire at St. Laurent, France.
