Private Wilfred Blyth Adlard

Battalion: 12th (Pioneer) Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Rushey Siding, Babworth, Nottinghamshire and lived at Grimsby. Son of Joseph and Sarah Jane Adlard, of 44, Freshney Street, Grimsby. He enlisted at Shirebrook, Derbyshire. Served with the 17th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, before being posted to the 12th (Pioneer) Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment. He was killed in action by shellfire, on 10th August 1917, whilst in a working party on the Voormezeele – Larch Wood Railway near Ypres, Belgium.
