Sergeant William Edgar Adkin

Battalion: 1st Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Sneinton, Nottingham, Son of William and Sarah Ellen Adkin, of 20, Foxhall Road, Berridge Road, Nottingham. He was a regular soldier who also served in India. He went to France on 4th November 1914 and was killed in action on 12th March 1915 during the German counter-attack on Neuve-Chapelle, France.
