Born at Torrington, Lincolnshire. Son of William and Clara Addison, of Low Barlings, Lincolnshire; husband of Maud Mary Addison, of Low Barlings. He was a farm wagoner prior to enlisting at Newark, Nottinghamshire. He died of gas poisoning on 17th February 1917 after a German gas attack at Fonquevillers, France.
