Private Charles Addison

Battalion: 11th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Bardney, Lincolnshire. Son of Alfred and Mrs E. Addison, of Stainton Le Vale, Market Rasen, Lincolnshire. He was a farm labourer prior to enlisting at Newark, Nottinghamshire, on 26th August 1914. He went to France on 16th December 1915 and was killed in action, on 1st July 1916, during the attack on Ovillers, France during the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
