He was born in Nottingham and lived at Hyson Green, Nottingham. Son of David Adcock and Annie Mary Tyler (formerly Adcock), of 4, Camomile Street, Hyson Green, Nottingham. He was a printer prior to enlisting at Nottingham and was killed in action, on 5th June 1917, by German shellfire whilst serving in the trenches at Bilhem Farm, near Neuville, France.
