Private James Adcock

Battalion: 1st Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Ilkeston, Derbyshire. Son of James and Annie Adcock, of Chapel Street, Ilkeston. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Ilkeston. He went to France on 2nd May 1915 and was killed in action, 12th April 1917,  during the attack on the sunken road from Metz to Gouzeaucourt, France.
