Born at Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. Son of John George and Louisa Adams, of 16 Livingstone Terrace, Bunberry Street, The Meadows, Nottingham. Husband of Clara Adams, of 5 Finendon Terrace, Seymour Street, Nottingham. He was a lace threader prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action during the attack on Bulgar Wood, Belgium, on 20th September 1917.
