Born at Derby. Son of Samuel and Rosanna Adams, of 27, South Street, Ellistown, Leicestershire. Husband of Mary Ellen Bearder (formerly Adams), of Lea Brookes, Alfreton, Derbyshire. He enlisted at Derby on 14th September 1914. Went to France on 18th March 1915 and was killed in action during the attack on Rouges Bancs, near Armentieres, France, on 9th May 1915.
