Born at Hendon, Middlesex. Son of William and Ada Abel, of 29, Pattison Road, Child’s Hill, Hendon, Middlesex; husband of Constance Abel, of 82, Bridge Lane, Golders Green, Middlesex. He was a bricklayer prior to enlisting at South Farnborough 3rd August 1916 in the Royal Flying Corps. He went to France 20th November 1916 and was transferred to the 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment 24th September 1917. He died from gas poisoning 19th August 1918 at No. 11 Stationary Hospital Rouen, France.
