Born at Markyate, Hertfordshire. Son of Francis Edward and Annie Abbott, of Markyate. Husband of Adelaide Abbott, of 78, Main Rd., Glascote, Tamworth, Staffordshire. He was a gas stoker prior to enlisting at Bedford. Died at Farouck Hospital, Cairo 1st July 1918, aged 25.
