Battalion: 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Old Whittington, Derbyshire. Son of Maurice and Emma Aaron, of 136, Holland Road, Old Whittington, Chesterfield. Husband of Sarah Aaron, of 8, Stand Road, Newbold Moor, Derbyshire. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Chesterfield on 5th December 1914. He went to France on 14th July 1915 and was killed in action, on 14th February 1916, aged 22, during heavy German shellfire and the explosion of a German mine, prior to the German attack of the front line trenches, near the canal to the south-east of Ypres, Belgium.
