Son of Edward White, of 4, Albion Place, Ilkeston. Husband of Alice White, of 15, Albion Place, Ilkeston, Derbyshire. Enlisted at Ilkeston, Derbyshire. Killed in action, on 1st July 1916, aged 29, in the attack on the German positions at Gommecourt, France, on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
