Derbyshire. B. A. (Honours) New College, Oxford. Was a member of Inner Temple. Sergeant in Inns of Court O. T. C. Received commission in September 1914 and was gazetted Lieutenant December 1914. Died of wounds 2nd July 1916, aged 26.

His brother Lieutenant George Hanson Wheatcroft, 16th Heavy Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery also fell in the Great War.
