Lance Corporal Herbert Webster

Born at Papplewick, Nottinghamshire. Son of Herbert And Sarah Jane Webster, of 4, Laburnum Cottages, Red Hill, Arnold, Nottingham. Lived at 69 Station Road, Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire. He was a gardener at Newstead Abbey, Nottinghamshire. He enlisted at Mansfield 1st December 1915. He went to France 10th July 1917 and was appointed Lance Corporal 23rd February 1918. He was reported missing in action 21st March 1918, age 21, and in December 1918, it was confirmed by the Infantry Record Office that a report had been received that Lance Corporal Webster was included on an “Official German List of Dead”
