Son of Frances Griffin (Formerly Walker), of 117, Millfield Road, Longton, and John Griffin (Stepfather).

Killed in action, 1st July 1916, aged 22, in the attack on the German positions near Ovillers, France during the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
