Battalion : 1/8th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Hucknall, Nottinghamshire. Son of James and Emily Walker, of 6, Lime Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. He was a resident of Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, and enlisted at Sutton-in-Ashfield. He went to France 2nd March 1915 and was killed in action 30th July 1915.
