Son of Thomas and Hannah Turner, of 4, Gladstone Place, Eastgate, Worksop, Nottinghamshire.

Killed in action, 14th February 1916, aged 20, during heavy German shellfire and the explosion of a German mine, prior to the German attack of the front line trenches, near the canal to the south-east of Ypres, Belgium.
