Battalion : 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Friskney, Lincolnshire and lived at Chequer Gate, near Louth, Lincolnshire. Son of Jane Taylor. He enlisted at Lincoln and was killed in action, 24th November 1916, during a German artillery barrage, whilst on a working party to the north of Beaumont Hamel, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
