Private Albert Smith

Battalion: 1/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Bacup, Lancashire. Son of James and Rebecca Smith, of 6 Dale Terrace Cressbrook, Derbyshire. He enlisted at Buxton, Derbyshire and went to France on 18th May 1915 and was killed in action, 4th October 1915, whilst on a working party, converting old German trenches to the west of Loos, France.
Died: 4th October 1915.
