He was awarded the Military Medal London Gazette 23rd August 1916, For gallantry and devotion to duty when in the attack on Fricourt Wood, Railway Alley and Lozenge Farm near Fricourt, between 2nd and 5th July 1916. Died : 16th September 1919, aged 22.
