Battalion: 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of Joseph Walter and Mary Percival, of 12, Lewis Square, Rancliffe Street, Nottingham, He enlisted in August 1914 and went to France on 27th August 1915. Killed in action, 1st July 1916, aged 20, in the attack on the German positions near Ovillers, France during the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
