Son of Walter and Florence Peppitt, of 2, Grasshill, Grassmoor, Chesterfield.

Killed in action, 14th February 1916, aged 26, during heavy German shellfire and the explosion of a German mine, prior to the German attack of the front line trenches, near the canal to the south-east of Ypres, Belgium.
