Second Lieutenant Frederick Major Paull

Battalion : 14th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Cheadle, Cheshire. Son of the Reverend Joseph Weston Paull, M A., and Lilian Bellhouse Paull, of “Midwood,” Oak Avenue, Christchurch, Hampshire. He was an horticultural student. Came back from Canada in 1912 and enlisted in the Inns of Court O.T.C. December 1914. He obtained a commission into the 14th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 7th May 1915 and was sent to Gallipoli with the 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 13th September 1915. He was killed in action, 27th November 1915, aged 22.
Buried/Commemorated : Azmak Cemetery, Suvla, Turkey. Plot I, Row G, Grave 12.
