Born in Nottingham and lived at 36, Beverley Street, St. Ann’s, Nottingham. Brother of Mary Parsons. He was a grocers junior prior to enlisting at Nottingham. Went to France on 18th August 1915 and was killed in action, on 1st July 1916, during the attack on the German positions at Gommecourt, France on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
