Battalion: 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of Mrs Mary Ann Mumby, of East Markham, Newark, Nottinghamshire. Went to France on 16th March 1915. Killed in action 5th July 1916, aged 22, in the attack on the German positions at La Boisselle, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
