Born in London and lived at 6, Lawrence. Street, Nottingham. Son of Samuel and Susan Morley. Husband of May Morley, of 5, Clare Court, Glasshouse Street, Nottingham. He was a sandpaperer prior to enlisting 25th August 1914 at Nottingham. He went to Gallipoli, 13th September 1915 and then to France 28th June 1916. He died, 27th September 1916, of gunshot wounds to his chest and right thigh at 44 Casualty Clearing Station, Puchevillers, France.
Buried: Puchevillers British Cemetery, France. Plot 4. Row E. Grave 23.
