Born in India and was an apprentice engineer residing in Balderton, Newark, Nottinghamshire. Son of Walter James and Emily Moore, of The Hollies, Farndon Road, Newark, Nottinghamshire. Enlisted 20th January 1913 at Newark, was promoted to Corporal 12th November 1915, went to France 2nd March 1915. Died 26th June 1916. Age 23.
