Lance Corporal Albert George Meads

Battalion : 17th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Ironville, Derbyshire and lived at Riddings, Derbyshire. Son of Albert Edward and Emma Meads, of George Street, Riddings. He was a teacher prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 13th November 1916, age 25, whilst in the line near Martinsart, France.
Commemorated : Thiepval Memorial, France. Pier and Face 10 C 10 D and 11 A.
