Born and lived at Ticknall, Derbyshire. Son of Thomas and Emma Marriott, of Ticknall. Husband of Mary Annie Marriott, of Scaddow View, Ticknall. He was a joiner prior to enlisting at Derby. He died of wounds, 2nd April 1917, aged 35, at No.3 Casualty Clearing Station, Remy Siding, Belgium.
