Born at Plock, Poland and lived at Tideswell, Buxton, Derbyshire. Son of Philip and Hannah Markovitz, of High Street, Tideswell. Husband of Lolita Markovitz. He enlisted at Buxton and went to France on 14th July 1915. He died of wounds on 12th December 1915, aged 26.
