Private George Foster Loveday

Battalion: 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived in Nottingham. Son of George and Grace Loveday, of 8, Lewis Street, Nottingham. He was a town carter and member of special reserve artillery, Royal Field Artillery, prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He went to France on 4th November 1914 and was killed in action, on 11th March 1915, aged 22, during the Battle of Neuve Chapelle, France.
